Richard Cawdell speaks at Ninth India Innovation Summit, Bangalore, 7-8 August 2013

Richard Cawdell, AcceleratorIndia Core Team member, joins an exclusive panel discussion at the Ninth India Innovation Summit 2013, on 7-8 August in Bangalore.

Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the summit is run under the theme of ‘India as a Start-up Nation’. The topic for the summit is driven by the latest trends in entrepreneurship, where countries like India are scaling the new age of business creation to address both local and global challenges. The UK is the main Partner Country for this year's summit and participates under its "Business is Great" initiative.

The panel discussion, titled "Demand Generation through Corporate and Cross Border Collaborations" provides a landscape view of the opportunities available through global platforms for innovation and collaboration for start-up companies in India and showcases a few examples. The rationale is that the markets for start-up companies may not always exist in India, and their reach needs to go beyond the physical boundaries of the country to access such global platforms.

Richard will speak about the AcceleratorIndia experience of being part of the Cambridge innovation ecosystem and its work with a number of UK businesses to establish market presence and achieve revenues in India through location collaborations and partnerships.

More details on the summit can be found in CII's event page.
