Economic Times of India profiles Dr. Uday Phadke and Dr. Shai Vyakarnam (4 May 2010)

Economic Times, the leading Indian financial daily recently ran a special report on the role played by Indian and Indian-origin scientists and inventors in universities around the world.

Featuring a number of leading scientists and inventors of Indian origin from universities such as MIT, Oxford and Cambridge, the report focused on involved in cutting edge research projects that are expected to change the way we live. From a Cambridge perspective, the report discusses the success story of Solexa, a Cambridge University spin-out in the health sciences that was acquired by a US corporation for US$600 million.

Dr. Uday Phadke and Dr. Shai Vyakarnam, founder-directors of AcceleratorIndia were featured in the report and they discuss the stellar role that the Cambridge ecosystem has played in nurturing a number of new businesses that have gone on to become big successes.
